St. Étienne is a Latina-owned design studio rooted in emotion, ritual, and ancestral memory.
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Founded by Eve and Karyn, our work bridges interior design and sacred object creation, blending architecture, storytelling, and spirituality into one deeply intentional offering.
With locations in South Hampton, New York and The Mayan cities, we honor both the roots that ground us and the places that have shaped our vision, crafting spaces and pieces that are raw, refined, and reverent.
We are more than designers, we are storytellers of space, weaving narratives that celebrate heritage, softness, and the beauty of becoming.
Guided by emotional intelligence, a devotion to sustainability, and the sacredness of diversity, we design not just for how a home looks, but for how it feels.
Our mission is to shape sanctuaries that hold your story, soften your transitions, and feel like a soul returning home.
Meet Eve
DESIGNER, GUIDE & MOTHER
A proud descendant of the Maya, carrying within her a rich tapestry of wisdom passed down through generations. Eve’s work is deeply rooted in her Mayan heritage and spiritual path.
Her nahuatl is Toj, symbolizing fire, the heart of heaven and earth, a reminder that her work is not just creative, but sacred. Educated in Florence, New York and Barcelona, Eve blends formal interior design and architectural lighting training with ancestral symbolism and emotional intelligence.
Her journey through cities like London, Tel Aviv, Paris, Prague, Barcelona and Guatemala City has shaped a global perspective grounded in soul.
She creates from a place of deep love, intuition, and remembrance, designing spaces that heal, hold, and honour.
Meet Karyn
ARCHITECT, GUIDE & GLOBETROTTER
A visionary creative infusing every project with soulful insight and boundless imagination. Karyn is an architectural designer and emotional alchemist who leads with intuition and poetic precision.
Grounded in her Guatemalan roots and moon-led rituals, she brings a quiet brilliance to every detail of the studio’s work. After earning her BFA in architecture in Guatemala and further refining her craft at Elisava School of Design in Barcelona, she brings an eye for structure that is balanced by softness.
Karyn sees each project as a sacred collaboration, an unfolding of energy, emotion, and form. She is also a passionate advocate for animal welfare and believes that every space should honour all forms of life.
